Fatal crane overturn

A man in his 40s was killed on a job site near Toronto, Canada, yesterday after he was struck by an overturning truck crane.

The incident occurred in the Brampton area where the man’s employer Forma-Con Construction was working. The police have confirmed that the Ministry of Labour was been called to the site and will be investigating what happened.

We have no details of what caused it and the only photograph we have does not show whether it was an overload or an outrigger issue, although the beams on the suide of the overturn are clearly retracted.

ASKING CRANE OPERATORS NOT UNION ABOUT CRANE SAFETY.
By having crane operators at the advisory committee for crane.

I can say we are 50 years behind Europe in crane Safety.
