Three Palfingers for Karlsruhe

The city of Karlsruhe, Germany, has taken delivery of three Palfinger truck mounted platforms for its parks department.

The order comprises a 23 metre P230, a 27 metre WT270 and a 35 metre WT350, which will be used to maintain more than 900 acres of public parks and gardens throughout Karlsruhe, including more than 70,000 trees that line the city’s streets.

Mounted on a 4x4 chassis, the new platforms can be used for both on-road and off-road applications


Mounted on 4x4 MAN chassis, all three models have been equipped with traffic cones, flashing lights and reflectors as well as LED work lights and an attachment for traffic signs on the rear of the vehicle.

The platforms have been configured for use with arborist equipment


Celebrating its 300th anniversary this year, Karlsruhe became one of the first cities in Germany to adopt the tree protection statutes back in 1980.
