New GM for Spider

US suspended platform specialist SafeWorks has appointed David Beckett as vice president and general manager of its Spider division. Based in the Chicago area, he will report to SafeWorks’ chief executive Scott Farrell.

Beckett joins the company from Otis Elevator where he spent 26 years, in Seattle and New York City in a variety of roles, the past six years as regional vice president for new elevator sales and service, covering 12 Midwestern states. In this role he had profit & loss accountability for sales and after market services of 21 business units with over 1,000 employees, generating annual sales in excess of $400 million.
