More pictures of Tadano’s big new crane
Following the initial article we published two weeks ago on Tadano’s new flagship 600 to 650 tonne All Terrain crane currently in development (:

Specific details of the new crane are still under wraps, however the following photographs, courtesy of Richard Reinl, provide a better indication of what to expect. As we have already mentioned the crane includes two large- wide spaced - multistage boom telescope cylinders - dubbed the 'Triple Boom', which, according to Tadano will provide as much lateral support as a traditional boom suspension system, without all the weight and set up requirements.

It looks impressive, sure. But I see a lot of Demag design too (the top Management of Tadano-Faun has long Demag past...). The boom concept has to proof reliability on worksites, which we will find out in the next 3-5 years.
Competition is always good specially in the "big Crane" Class. So I'm looking forward to the next Bauma ;)
