Bobcat opens UAE parts depot

Bobcat/Doosan has opened its new Middle East and Africa parts distribution depot in Dubai, UAE.

Located in Jebel Ali, the 1,540 square metre storage area will provide parts support for dealers and customers of Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power products in the Middle East and Africa. It will be managed by global logistics provider Agility.

In combination with the existing Doosan part distribution centre in Puurs, Belgium, the company has said it is now able to deliver parts to more than 90 percent of the region within 24 hours.

Addressing dealers and other guests at the centre’s inauguration, Gaby Rhayem, regional director Middle East and North Africa, said: “With the opening of the new Dubai parts centre, we will be able to provide a much better parts service for our dealers and customers throughout the Middle East and Africa. As well as enhancing our after market service, the new centre demonstrates our strong commitment to the market.”

Erik Van Der Goot, head of parts for Doosan Construction Equipment in Europe, Middle East and Africa, added: “The new centre in Dubai will strengthen brand loyalty for Bobcat, whilst creating more customer solutions. Our dealers do a wonderful job of selling the first machine into our customers, but with the increased parts support from the Dubai centre, we can have a very important role in helping to secure the sale of further machines to the same customers.”
