90m Bronto for Chile

A new company in Chile has been established to rent out mid to large truck mounted and specialist lifts, with a key focus on the wind turbine sector – including construction, cleaning, maintenance and repair.

The company - Grupo Vertikal - (nothing to do with the Vertikal Press, although we are tempted to ask for royalties) has kicked off its activities with the purchase of a new 90 metre Bronto S90HLA truck mounted lift. It has also organised premises in Santiago and is looking at a range of other products that it might distribute in Chile

The principles behind the new business, including director Ricardo Carrasco, are new to the access market, having previously been active in the mining and energy sectors. They see the further potential in Chile for both the top end of the powered access market along with the prospects for wind power in the country.

Carrasco said: “'The name of the company is going to be ‘Grupo Vertikal S.p.A.’ and on the equipment you`ll see just the branding ‘VERTIKAL’ we plan to offer this new Bronto for rent, basically for maintenance support on existing and new wind farm projects and also on industrial and mining construction sites”.
