10 tonne spiders for Spain

Madrid based electrical supplies and logistics management company Amara – a subsidiary of multinational electric utility company Iberdrola - has taken delivery of two 10 tonne Unic URW-1006 spider cranes from Spanish dealer Spain Crane International.

The URW- 1006 spider features a 23 metre, six section boom and jib which provides a hook height of up to 30.7 metres. At this height it can still lift 1,000kg to a radius of three metres. Maximum outreach is 24.3 metres.

Monica Gomez, Amara communications manager, said: “Both of these impressive machines will be winging their way to an energy provider in the Caribbean region where they will be used in the repair and maintenance of electrical infrastructure networks - a mighty task for two mighty machines!”
