Gold for GGR
UK based compact crane and lifting equipment specialist GGR has achieved gold status under the Transport for London’s Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS), which promotes sustainable best practice for road freight operators, including safe working practices, legal compliance, efficiency and environmental impact.
The accreditation applies to the company’s southern base in Long Crendon, and follows a rigorous assessment including theoretical and practical driver training as well as FORS workshops. The company achieved bronze status in June 2013 and Silver status in March 2014. Since gaining FORS accreditation in 2013, the company has increased its transport fleet by 33 percent, with a total of 24 vehicles providing national coverage.
GGR managing director, Gill Riley said: “This is an excellent achievement, to progress from Bronze to Silver and now to Gold in only 18 months highlights our commitment to improving safety on the roads. Working with FORS means we’ve been able to identify best practices and improve our growing fleet.”
