Quick new member for Access Link

The UK’s Access Link, the association of independent regional access rental companies, held its quarterly meeting this week as guests of SkyJack at the Lions Quay Spa and Resort near Oswestry.

The meeting included a lively presentation on new and future developments at SkyJack followed by a full product display. Despite the bad weather the meeting was well attended. All members reported encouraging business levels and improving rental rates.

During the meeting the appointment of Manchester based Quick Reach (See Quick move for Barton brothers) was approved by members with immediate effect.

Access Link chairman Keith John, sad: “Quick Reach’s emphasis on construction equipment will bring an improved fleet mix to the Link’s growing combined fleet of 11,000 units. It will also make our selling proposition very strong indeed having 38 depots covering the UK and Ireland.”

The Access Link meeting in Shropshire

Harness manufacturer Ridgegear was invited to address the members on its range of products, which included tool lanyards to prevent accidents caused by objects falling from height, with PPC Stars, a Google partner company, also giving an informative presentation. Skyjack received an number of orders on the day for several machines including the 63ft SJ63AJ articulated boom lifts.
