Loader crane tips in Oslo

A large loader crane tipped into a building in central Oslo on Wednesday trapping one of the men working on the site.

The crane was lifting materials into a building

The crane was set up outside of the TGI Fridays restaurant with the outrigger jacks inboard, it then telescoped a load of building materials into the building between two glass facades with an almost horizontal boom. The crane, a mid-size Fassi, then lost stability and tipped.

The trapped man, 53, was freed and rushed to hospital, where he was found not to be too seriously injured.
