Heavy Duty Genies for Collé

Netherlands based access and telehandler specialist Collé Rental & Sales has taken delivery of a 100ft Genie S-100HD and a 120ft S-120HD heavy duty straight telescopic boom lift.

The models are the CE versions of the S-3200 and S-3800, built in China for the Asian shipbuilding market – see: China shipbuilding booms from Genie.

Dimensionally similar to standard Genie S-100 and S-120 models, the HD versions have been modified for hostile work environments, such as in shipyards where welding and sandblasting are performed on a regular basis.
Key differences include steel covers for cables and hoses, a top-mounted hose track and fire-resistant outer tubes and hoses. The platforms are fitted with bumper bars and welding slag-resistant protection, other features include rough terrain tyres and a 250 litre steel fuel tank, which the company claims, provides up to 28 hours continuous operation.
