Crane recovery closes road in Scotland

The B977 road near Aberdeen remains closed today as attempts to recover a toppled crane continue.

The four axle All Terrain crane - thought to be a 70 tonne Liebherr LTM 1070 or 90 tonne LTM 1090 owned by Dyce-based Brown and Co - went off the Dyce to Balmedie road between the Parkhill crossroads and Belhelvie.

The crane was left lying on its side on the grassy verge following the incident early on Monday morning. No-one was injured.

The road was closed yesterday morning as a recovery truck and crane attempted to recover the stricken crane, however it took a third crane to finally right it.
