Fatal crane road accident

The operator of a crane with trailing boom ran off the highway in Oklahoma yesterday evening causing his death

At this stage we have very few details that the police have released and a poor quality photograph. The incident occurred on Highway 412 near Sands Springs to the west of Tulsa.

The dead man was crane operator Joshua Michael Lundgren, 24, police believe that the crane’s front left tyre blew causing the 90 tonne Tadano GT90 truck crane to run through the central reservation across the traffic, miraculously without hitting anyone, before hitting a tree and rolling onto its side. It took the emergency service around six hours to cut Lundgren free and he was declared dead at the scene.
