LTF for Würzburger

German crane rental and recovery company Würzburger Kranverleih und Bergedienst has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Liebherr LTF 1045-4.1 truck mounted crane.

Mounted on a four-axle Volvo FMX chassis, the LTF 1045 features a 35 metre main boom and a 9.5 metre swingaway extension which can be offset up to 60 degrees. Designed as a taxi crane, it offers an economical alternative to All Terrain cranes with simplified road licence due to low axle weights. The crane is the third Liebherr LTF truck mounted crane in its fleet and will be used for erecting steelwork, loading machines and the erection prefabricated buildings and cellars.

Company owner Ibrahim Kücükdag, said: “Our LTF cranes cover around 15,000 kilometres every year. They are much more economical than conventional mobile cranes over long distances. With part ballast the LTF cranes can be licensed exactly like a normal truck. That is a major advantage for our flexibility.”
