Riwal UK brings transport in-house

Access rental company Riwal UK has brought its delivery transport services in-house and invested in a number of new delivery vehicles.

The company has taken delivery of a number of MAN trucks and King trailers as well as MAN rigid trucks for when access to site is more limited. All the vehicles comply with the latest Euro 6 emissions standards, while the MAN trucks have been fitted with reversing cameras, additional mirrors and signage to comply with Crossrail requirements. Based at the company’s four depots it said the decision was made due to growth in fleet size and the expansion in its depot network.

Riwal UK’s managing director, Tim White, said: “We under took an in-depth review of our external transport usage and how we could best service our customers, keeping in mind the increasing safety requirements to major sites such as Crossrail and The Olympic Project. We chose a Euro 6 engine on all vehicles to reduce our carbon emissions and all trucks are Crossrail compliant with reversing cameras and additional mirrors and signage to ensure the safety of all road users. The move to bringing our core transport requirements in-house further demonstrates Riwal UK's dedication towards delivering the best customer experience.”
