Straddle carrier flips in NZ

A crane driver has a lucky escape on Friday after the straddle carrier he was operating overturned at Centre Point in Wellington, New Zealand,

The crane was carrying a container at the time and overturned onto a rail wagon, helping reduce the impact of the cab onto the ground. The operator suffered minor bruising, but walked away from the incident.

WorkSafe New Zealand and Centrepoint are carrying out parallel investigations.
