Elev8 takes first T720 in UK

Sheffield based Elev8 Access Platforms has taken delivery of the first 72 metre Ruthmann T720 truck mounted lift in the UK from the company’s distributor Access Sales International.

Mounted on a four-axle 32 tonne chassis, the T720 features a five section main boom and a three section top boom/jib. Maximum platform capacity is 600kg and it can achieve an outreach of 38 metres with a reduced platform capacity of 100kg. With an up and over height of 40 metres the T720 still has an outreach of 31 metres. It is also able to work up to 12 metres below ground level.

Elev8 managing director Jason Machin, said: “A Ruthmann T460 has been part of our fleet for some time now. This model has become extremely popular with customers because of its enormous reach when working up high. This is why we decided on this machine. With the T720, we are currently the only rental company in Britain to offer customers the largest model in the height performance series. This gives us a decisive competitive advantage.”

The company has also ordered a 38 metre T380 truck mounted lift which is scheduled for delivery in the coming months.
