Hiab has opened a new multi-assembly unit (MAU) in Stargard Szczecinski, Poland.

nDurance is an advanced and environmentally friendly pre-treatment and paint process based on nanotechnology and e-coating which offers a three-layer protection against corrosion and harsh working environments. Hiab says the process is 100 percent phosphate-free, does not use any heavy metals and leaves no waste - resulting in great savings on energy and water.

The opening ceremony at Stargard coincides with Hiab’s 70th anniversary celebrations. Hiab's president Roland Sundén, said: "It's particularly pleasing that our Stargard multi-assembly unit has become fully operational in this, our 70th anniversary year. It shows how Hiab has developed from an industrial pioneer into the leading global provider of on-road load handling equipment. I would like to congratulate the Hiab team in Poland for ensuring that our customers continue to benefit from the very best equipment solutions."

"The processes, components, build quality and testing are consistently undertaken to the same method in all our assembly facilities worldwide. Our product development is driven by meeting customer needs and it's critical that we deliver consistent product quality, value, performance and safety wherever our customers are based around the globe," said Selänne.
