Fatal Telehandler overturn

Two men died and one was seriously injured on Friday when a telehandler and work platform overturned in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The telehandler was not equipped with stabilisers

The three men were all in the platform when the unit, which was working on a town house complex, went over. The injured man managed to jump clear of the falling platform.

The large platform looks like a very large but simple unit fitted to the forks. The machine - a Lull - does not appear to be fitted with stabilisers and the boom was around two thirds extended.

Oscillating axle and frame tilt needs to be checked. Frame tilt may have bled down. I've seen some old lulls where the oscillating axles did not work, they were frozen and did not oscillate with the uneven ground. And oscillating axle locks at 40 degrees on this unit.
