Skyjack adds to Asian team

Skyjack has stepped up its activities in the Asian market following the appointment of Simon Cracknell in early 2013.

In Korea, Skyjack’s largest market in the region, Steve Paik has been appointed as sales manager and Unseob Kim as product support manager, he will also look after customers in Vietnam, Japan and Thailand.

Paik was previously with South Korean Caterpillar dealership HAE, where he spent 19 years in a variety of roles, including regional management and product and parts sales. Kim joins Skyjack from rental company Dong Wong Lift.

In China, Jack Dai has joined the company as sales manager, while Frank Zhang has been appointed as product support engineer. Dai has 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing, including four years as a sales manager with Henan Jianghe Crane, prior to that he was with JLG. Zhang spent 10 years in a similar support role at Terex cranes. Zhang will also cover Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines from his base in Shanghai.

Cracknell said: “We are definitely building some momentum with the Skyjack brand now in Asia, but are determined to manage our growth here responsibly with the appropriate sales and support channels to give our customers the service and value they expect from Skyjack and will be strengthening our team even further as we move ahead.”
