Ruthmann to launch City-Steiger

German truck mounted lift manufacturer Ruthmann will launch its new 28.5 metre City-Steiger TU 285 at Platformers’ Days in Hohenroda tomorrow.

Mounted on a two axle 7.49 tonne chassis, the TU 285 has up to 20.5 metres of outreach and a 320kg maximum platform capacity. It uses the same superstructure and boom system as the T285.1, T300.2, and T300.1 truck mounts however the superstructure has been redesigned and moved to the rear of the vehicle, so that the boom stows over the front, rather than over the rear.

Jib articulation is 180 degrees and the unit can level on slopes of up to five degrees. An new optional larger basket, measuring 2.1 metres by 860mm is also available with a slightly reduced - 300kg- platform capacity. This will also be available for the T285.1, T300.2, T330.1 as well as its upcoming T190 and T230 models.
