Terex steps up Genie China investment

Terex has recently invested a further $10 million in its Chinese business, Terex (Changzhou) Machinery Co.

The business, based in the Changzhou National High-tech District of China, is a foreign-invested company that largely builds Genie aerial work platforms - including booms, scissors and AWP models. The plant was opened in March 2011 and has grown steadily since then - see: Terex opens China plant.

Once the increase in capital is completed Terex will have a invested a total of around $57 million with a registered capital of $31.9 million.

Changzhou National Hi-tech District is located in the Yangtze River Delta, China's wealthiest region.
