Sunbelt acquires oilfield rental specialist

Ashtead’s Sunbelt has acquired Texas based Hebbronville Lone Star Rentals, an oilfield rental specialist based in Midland Texas with eight locations covering the oil and gas fields of Texas, Eastern New Mexico and Western Louisiana.

Among the equipment provided are telehandlers and aerial work platforms from branches I nCarrizo Springs, Beeville, Charlotte, Laredo, Midland, San Angelo and Gonzales in Texas and Carlsbad New Mexico.

The deal was announced in the small print of Ashtead’s quarterly report published yesterday and was worth £21 million ($35 million).
