Tunnel bashing

A driver who failed to properly stow his loader crane after unloading material on a highway construction job became jammed in a tunnel near the town of Sion in Switzerland yesterday causing major traffic jams.

The truck got halfway down the tunnel before the driver realised the problem and became stuck. It took recovery specialists over three hours to free the crane - an almost new HMF model - from the tunnel roof and get the truck out. No one was hurt and the damage appears minimal.
