Antipodean Liebherr towers

Liebherr has received three orders for a total of five tower cranes from rental companies in Australia and New Zealand.

Liebherr’s Australian distributor Morrow Equipment has expanded its rental fleet with two new 36 tonne 542 HC-L 18/36 Litronic luffing jib cranes which can handle 4.3 tonnes at its 65 metre maximum radius, along with a second-hand 540 HC-L. The two new cranes went straight to work on the new Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, Sydney.

A 420 EC-H 16 Litronic and 357 HC-L luffing jib cranes have also been shipped to New Zealand construction firms Ebert and Fletchers to carry out work rebuilding Christchurch and Auckland, which are still badly damaged from the earthquakes which struck in 2011.
