Truck clips platform

A large truck struck the platform of a utility truck working in Camden, New Jersey yesterday, ejecting a man in the platform.

Details are still not clear but we have received a photograph that suggest the lift was cordoned off with traffic cones, and was working on overhead traffic lights at the time. We understand that the truck clipped the underside of the platform as it passed, bouncing its occupant out of the basket.

The man fell to the ground and is said to be in critical condition in hospital. The nature of the incident suggests that he was not wearing a harness and lanyard. We will update this report as more news comes in.
