New quality director for Link Belt

Link Belt Cranes has appointed Greyson Meers as director of quality with responsibility for maintaining quality standards from components to the finished product.

Meers joins Link-Belt from Akebono Brake Corporation where he was quality engineering manager. Prior to that he held a similar role with Knorr Bremse. Before moving to Knorr in 2011, he spent over six and a half years with Manitowoc as operations quality manager, working with both the food service and crane divisions. He has also worked with Johnson Controls, Ford Motor and Toyota where he was lean operations manager at its Kentucky plant.

He also served in the U.S. Army and speaks conversational Chinese, German and Spanish.
