Genie adds to online training

Genie has added a telehandler operator programme to its Genie Lift Pro range of online training courses.

The ‘Genie Lift Pro Online Telehandler Operator Training’ is suitable for training with all brands of telehandlers and compiles with the general training requirements for Class 7 Rough Terrain Forklifts (telehandlers) as defined by the ANSI/ITSDF B56.6, CSA B335 standards and OSHA 1910.178 regulations.

The four-hour programme incorporates current learning theory and consists of graphics, narration, video quizzes and a 57 question exam. Upon passing the exam, a certificate of completion is presented as proof of training. The online training must then be followed up with hands-on familiarisation from a qualified person to become a qualified operator.

Genie's online telehandler operator programme can be completed using a desktop or laptop

Scott Owyen, Terex global training manager, said: “This is an extremely important programme for our industry. There are no other similar telehandler training programmes currently available online. It is a very time consuming subject for our customers to teach in a classroom setting so our online training programme really fits that need.”
