Heavydrive takes heavy-duty spiders

German mini and spider crane rental company Heavydrive has ordered two 10 tonne UNIC URW-1006 spider cranes from German dealer Mini & Mobile Cranes Körner.

Launched at Intermat 2012, the URW 1006 spide provides a hook height of up to 30.7 metres, using its 23 metre six section boom and jib. At this height it can lift 1,000kg out to a radius of three metres. Maximum outreach is 24.3 metres. Heavydrive took delivery of its first URW-1006 in March and has since ordered the additional two.
