Man falls from lift in UK

A man is critically ill in hospital after reportedly “falling from a cherry picker” at a builders merchants in Calne, Wiltshire, UK, on Friday.

We have now been informed that the man, 50, had just unloaded the platform at Buildbase builders merchants and was manouvering it when he drove over a very high kerb/drop off, causing him to be thrown from the platform onto the concrete yard. As far as we know he was not wearing a harness.

He was airlifted to hospital and is stable but still critical due to a head injury.
The man remains in hospital and will hopefully make a full recovery.
