Fatal tower crane fall

A mechanic fell to his death last night while working on a tower crane in Breitenfeld-Mitterdorf, between Graz and Vienna, Austria.

The man, 26, and an electrician had completed his job and was climbing down the tower when he slipped or something happened, causing him to fall 16 metres to the concrete floor below. We have very little further information on how he managed to fall so far from a secured ladder system.
