LTS takes Snorkel Speed Levels

UK rental company LTS Powered Access has taken delivery of two 30ft Snorkel SL30SL Speed Levels.

The four wheel drive, sigma type self-propelled lift offers an 11 metre working height, a platform capacity of 590kg and 50 percent gradeability. Features include automatic levelling, an oscillating front axle and the ability to drive at full height.

The lifts were delivered to the company’s depot in Barking and have been sent on trial with Road Management Services to help maintain the Limehouse Link tunnel which runs under the London Docklands.

LTS director Paul Fairhall, said: “We have worked with the maintenance team for many years, and know that they are working within very limited timeframes when the tunnel is closed. The Snorkel Speed Level offers a real opportunity for them to increase on-the-job productivity, as they do not have to activate outriggers like they would on traditional high capacity rough terrain scissor lifts, and are able to carry a large amount of tools and supplies, unlike in traditional boom lifts.”
Mark Yarnold, general manager of Snorkel UK, added: “The Snorkel Speed Level is an incredibly versatile product and I’m sure they will be a great addition to Paul’s fleet. This is a product that needs to be demonstrated, and it was clear from the trial that the maintenance team could instantly see many potential applications for the lift, which would greatly improve their productivity levels.”

Based in Barking, the powered access division of London Tower Service, LTS Powered Access operates a fleet of self-propelled aerial lifts, push-around scissor lifts and mobile scaffold towers throughout the London region.
