TPS takes three STSs

Chilean container terminal operator Terminal Pacifico Sur Valparaiso has ordered three Liebherr ship to shore container cranes.

With an outreach of 62 metres and a maximum lifting capacity of 65 tonnes they are the largest Liebherr container cranes to be supplied to the west coast of South America. The cranes incorporate the latest security and control technologies including an integrated remote monitoring system.

The cranes will be used to service large container vessels such as the CMA CGM Marco Polo which has an average length of 396 meters, a breadth of 53.6 metres and a TEU capacity of over 16,020 TEU.
