Mobi-Hub takes AC 1000

Berlin based crane and logistics provider Mobi-Hub has taken delivery of a 1,000 tonne Terex AC 1000 All Terrain crane.

The nine-axle AC 1000 is available with a 50 or 100 metre main boom and can travel with its 50 metre boom in place within the 12 tonne axle loadings requirements. The crane was purchased with all additional options and recently completed its first job unloading a 175 tonne, 12 metre long power plant column from a barge at the Borsignafen port in Tegel, Berlin.

Mobi-Hub general manager Georg Hallau, said: “On top of its small dimensions for a crane of this capacity, the AC 1000 can travel with its boom on and still be under 12 tonne an axle. This makes the logistics involved much easier – now all we have to do after we get to the work site is set up the outriggers and the AC 1000 is ready to go.”
