Colin Burnett 1951-2014

We have received the news that UK crane industry veteran Colin Burnett has died after a long illness, he was 62.

He died on Friday at the Bodelwyddan hospital in North Wales having finally succumbed to esophageal cancer, following a two year struggle.

He was a well-known and well respected individual having started his career with Coles Cranes in Sunderland before moving on to G. MacKenzie, P&H, R.I.D, Sparrows Offshore and most recently Cranes UK (now Tadano UK).

He leaves two children - Gary and Julie - from first marriage, his current wife Trish and daughter Lydia.
