IPAF publishes 2014 Rental Reports

The International Powered Access Federation has released its 2014 Rental Market Reports which reveal that there are estimated 1,020,000 aerial work platforms in rental fleets around the world, six percent higher than last year’s estimates, mainly driven by growth in Asia and South America.

The report confirms strong revenue growth in the USA estimated at $7.2 billion in 2013, nine percent higher than for 2012. For the first time IPAF also conducted research in China which registered 20 percent growth.

The European powered access rental market covering Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK, remained flat at approximately €2.3 billion. The report is marked by three groups which include countries which struggled in 2013 (Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Finland, and to a lesser extent Denmark and France), countries which reported slightly increased rental revenues (Sweden and the UK), and countries which experienced significant growth (Germany and Norway).

The reports are published in an easy-to-read format, highlighting key facts and figures, such as fleet size, utilisation rates and machine retention periods.
The IPAF US and European Powered Access Rental Market Reports 2014 are available in English and can be purchased at www.ipaf.org/reports.
