New access entrant?

A new company has been registered in the UK under the name Summit Platforms, with Grant Woodward as Sole director.
Woodward was managing director and a joint owner of The Platform Company, prior to selling to Lavendon in March 2008. The business was then merged with Nationwide Access to create Nationwide Platforms. Woodward left Lavendon a year later in March 2009.

The new company shows Boyles Turner, a Reading based legal company, as the current owner, and was registered in late March.
We have not yet managed to contact Woodward to ask about any specific plans but a number of rumours are circulating about a possible new powered access rental company in the Birmingham area, which is where The Platform Company started off, initially under the Mitie brand.
