350 tonner for Hüffermann

German crane rental company Hüffermann Krandienst has taken delivery of a 350 tonne Liebherr LTM 1350-6.1 All Terrain crane – its first to feature a luffing jib.

The six-axle LTM 1350-6.1 has a 70 metre main boom and a 78 metre luffing jib providing a maximum under-hook-height of 130 metres. The new crane will be used for bridge construction, port handling and the repair and maintenance of wind turbines.

Hüffermann managing director Rolf Hüffermann said: “The LTM 1350-6.1 is our first luffing jib crane. It marks a breakthrough for us into a new sector. We had to invest in this new crane because the loads we are being asked to hoist are getting heavier and heavier."
