Obama in Waregem

President Obama visited the Belgium town of Waregem yesterday, home of major access industry companies TVH, Gunco, DK Rentals and Vertimac.

His visit to the area was sadly not to check out access equipment, telehandlers or replacement parts, but to lay a wreath at the Flanders American military cemetery in the town.

TVH and Gunco put out the welcome signs for him to see as he passed down the E17 highway to the cemetery.

TVH, built a special five metre long by 2.5 metre high LED wall on top of two containers. The screen featured an image of a lift truck with the question ‘Need a lift, Mr President’ and decorated its fence along the highway with stars and stripes. Gunco formed a huge ring of JLG boom lifts for the occasion.
