New plate for new crane

UK based M&M Mobile Crane Hire of Uxbridge, Middlesex, has taken delivery of a new 130 tonne Tadano ATF 130G-5.

The crane is also the first Tadano to carry the new 14 number plate, which came into force on March 1st of this year.

The five axle machine comes with 60 metres of main boom plus an 18 metre swingaway extension and a total of 42 tonnes of counterweight on a compact 2.75 metre wide chassis with all wheel steer.

The crane can carry up to 21.4 tonnes of counterweight on the road, running within the UK’s STGO category C, giving it a strong load chart without the need for back up vehicles. The new model was also delivered with heavy duty ‘stubby’ 3.8 metre offsettable extension, capable of lifting up to 40 tonnes.

M&M has also placed orders for further Tadano cranes for delivery later in the year. The next plate change occurs in August when the 14 changes to 64.
