Kardon takes four 1850SJ

Gordon McGruer of UK based Kardon Kontracts placed one of the first orders for JLG’s new 185ft 1850SJ boom lifts today at Conexpo, when he ordered four units for his wholesale rental fleet.

His belief is that few rental companies will initially be willing to invest the substantial sum required in a machine that still requires some concept selling/demand building as facility owners are persuaded to change from existing methods.

Delivery is expected later this year and pricing for the new machine is said to be in the region of €300,000 a unit in Europe.
