Janne Niska 1975 -2014

We have just received the sad news that Janne Niska the founder, majority owner and chairman of Finnish rental company Janneniska has died aged 38.

He was found dead in his home yesterday morning, the cause of death has not been confirmed but is thought to be due to a seizure. A postmortem will be held to confirm the exact cause.

Niska lived alone and, like his father had a reputation for encouraging his employees to live a healthy active life and if smokers to give up the habit. Janne Niska establsihed his company in 1996 to rent truck mouinted lifts, but when in 2009 his father suffered a very serious stroke he also took on the management of Pekkaniska.

The management of the companies that he owned or controlled, Janneniska, Pekkaniska and JN Windpower Services will continue as before and business operations will remain unchanged.
