Link-Belt to launch 150 ton RT

Link-Belt will introduce a new 135 tonne/150 ton three axle Rough Terrain crane at Conexpo.

The RTC-80150 Series II is fitted with a 59.5 metre, six section main boom giving a 78.6 metre tip height when rigged with its optional two or three piece bi-fold swingaway, with manual or hydraulic offsets of two to 45 degrees as well as a three metre heavy-lift fly jib.

Overall height is 3.81 metres with low profile tyres that do not have to be removed for transportation. Minimum transport weight is less than 45.4 tonnes and overall width is under three metres.

The new crane has three position outriggers -fully extended, intermediate and fully retracted which the company refers to a as its Confined Area Lifting Capacity (CALC) feature.

The operator’s cab tilts up to 20 degrees, while a new camera package has cameras located on the right side of the upper frame as well as on the main and auxiliary winches. Aluminium decking is also used on the RTC-80150 Series II with six access points, including the front and rear lower ladders which are removable to avoid damage during transport. It is powered by a 345hp Cummins Tier 4f diesel engine.

“The RTC-8080 Series II has been great for our bare rental owners across the globe. We have had strong orders from our domestic distributors as of the first quarter of 2014 with export units delivered to Australia, Colombia and Peru,” added Smoot.

Features include Tier 4 Final and EU Stage IV 270hp Cummins engine, a standard camera package and aluminium decking. The RTC-8080 Series II comes with a full-power 12.5-38.7 metre four section boom and many features of its the new RTC-80150 Series II.
