NRC to introduce two 100t crawlers

NRC, the UK Link-Belt and Hitachi crane distributor, is adding two new 100 tonne crawler crane models to its sales and rental inventory.

The first is a 100 tonne Link-Belt TCC1100 telescopic crawler crane launched at Conexpo in 2011. Its five section 45.7 metre telescopic boom can be extended with a 9.4 to 16.7 metre two-piece bi-fold swingaway extension, to offer a maximum tip height of 64.3 metres. A three metre heavy duty fly jib can make up part of the main extension and can also swing and pin into place separately to provide over 18.1 tonnes of capacity. All extension combinations offset by two, 15, 30, or 45 degrees.

Once onsite, the crane can be quickly self-erected offering three operational track widths – 3.7 metre, 4.4 metre or 5.8 metre. The crane has a remote control for use during set up and wide stance outriggers for easy loading and better stability.

The second crane is the 100 tonne Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX100A-3 lattice crawler crane, which can be rigged with up to 60 metres of main boom, or a maximum of 51 metres when using the 28 metre jib for a maximum system length of 79 metres.

Both models are fitted with the latest generation EU Tier 3B engines and ECO winches. Other safety features include a slew restriction device, folding superstructure hand rails, a camera system for a good view to the rear and of the winches, as well as an array of safety and working lights. The SCX1000A-3 also features auto idle start/stop technology.
