Another outrigger incident

A loader crane delivering lumber overturned yesterday in Wolfurt, Austria injuring one of the builders working on site.

The incident occurred at a building site in the town, which is to south of Bregenz,as the crane lifted material on the upper floor, when the front outrigger sank into soft ground. The man, 22, was hit in the head my flying debris, he also suffered serious leg injuries. A rescue helicopter was called in to airlift him to hospital, but was unable to land in the fog, so colleagues took him to the hospital by car.

Poor outrigger set up has caused serious injuries and stopped work
