Verticaal Dagen 2013

The first day of this year’s Verticaal Dagen, the Benelux access and telehandler event, was a little quiet in terms of visitor numbers, although Friday is usually the busier of the two days and did pick up with a steady stream of visitors.

This year's show was well stocked with product, with a wide range of recently launched products and one or two brand new ones.

The exhibits that jumped out the most were the impressive Magni telehandler display on the Collé stand with the new HTH 25 11 heavy duty fixed frame telehandler lifting a 21 metre 360 degree unit, complete with its new five metre platform.

Mini crane manufacturer Reedyk also launched a brand new crane designed in partnership with Peineman for the Shell refinery in Rotterdam. Clearly targeted at the petrochemical market it is built as an anti-explosion ATEX-3G IIBTS version, allowing it to work in hazardous areas to Zone two levels.

The three tonne compact PC4405EX crane can apparently run all day on its lithium-ion battery back, but also has a small diesel engine for remote recharging and battery top-up. It boasts a five section 7.3 metre boom and a maximum tip height of nine metres. and can pick and carry up to 2.5 tonnes. More on this product in the next Cranes & Access.

Turkish scissor lift manufacturer ELS Makine had several electric slab scissors on display along with a new push-around lift on the stand of Dealer KTS.
ATN showed off its new Piaf 1100 11 metre mast boom, Alan Russon's Access Platform Company made its Dutch debut with its more basic answer to Power Towers Pecolift - which was also on show - in the shape of the Skywinder Mini which was first seen at Vertikal Days this June.

The above barely scrapes the surface of what is a very good display of the latest access equipment, the show runs today from 10:00 if you are anywhere close to the Tilburg/Breda area.
