RT overturns at Marina

A cab down Rough Terrain crane overturned at a marina in Fall River, Massachusetts – south of Boston – yesterday.

The incident occurred at the Borden Light Marina and involved the marina’s own crane a 14 ton Bucyrus Erie C-280BD from the 1970s. From the photos that we have received it looks like standard case of outriggers either not set or set up on soft ground.

The crane boom ended up in the water

Firefighters worked on the crane to ensure that its fuel and oil did not leak into the main harbour area, while recovery is organised.
