More Liebherr for India Bulls

Mumbai based developer India Bulls has ordered a further 20 Liebherr EC-B 85 flat top tower cranes and delivered three to contractor L&T for the construction of the new 39 storey Orchid Towers project in Noida, Delhi.

The new 20 unit order follows 10 units already delivered. Liebherr India tower cranes sales manager, Vishal Malhotra said: “Demand for housing has increased land costs and advances in construction techniques so that high rise towers of 40 to 50 floors are becoming commonplace, demanding higher capacity cranes with faster cycles, consistent reliability and improved back up.”

Each of the Orchid Towers will have a 7,000 square metre footprint, and include three apartments per floor. In total 11 towers will be constructed each to a height of 145 metres. The 85 EC-B 5 cranes offer a maximum lifting capacity of five tonnes and a working radius of up to 50 metres radius at which the jib tip capacity is 1.3 tonnes. Please register to see all images
