Tat Hong appoints COO

Singapore based crane group Tat Hong has appointed Wong Meng Choong, 60, as group chief operating officer Asia.

He began working with the company in February, but his official appointment to the new role is dated today. He has been working as a consultant for Pathfinder Business Consulting - a company he founded – since leaving the business from Delta Trade Finance in 2011, he remains on the board at Intraco the international trading group, but has resigned as a director of Kian Ho Bearings.

Wong Meng Choong

He began is career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse Cooper, before joining Coastal Equipment as managing director in 1980. Since then he has held a variety of senior management positions with listed consumer goods producers before moving into the financial services sector.

In his new role he will “assist chief executive Roland Ng in overseeing the operations and management of the group's businesses in Asia.”
