Isoli switches UK distibution

Italian truck mounted lift manufacturer Isoli has appointed Access Platform Sales (APS) as its new distributor for the UK.

The move to move the product line from existing distributor Promax was mutually agreed and follows a decision by the Platform Basket distributor to focus on its core spider and boom lift business. The move also takes APS, which also handles Ommelift and Hinowa among a number of other products into the wider truck mounted lift sector.

APS will install Isoli platforms on UK-sourced commercial vehicles at the company’s workshops in Telford, Shropshire. Its sister company, PSR, will provide national product support through its 23 mobile service engineers. APS is part of IAPS Group which also includes Independent Parts Specialists and Platform Service & Repair.

Richard Tindale, sales and marketing director for IAPS Group, which owns APS, said: “We are delighted to have reached this agreement with Isoli. It allows us finally to provide our customers with a range of high quality, high performance light truck mounts which perfectly complement our existing portfolio of self-propelled, push-around and towable products.”

The Isoli range includes telescopic and articulated models, offering working heights from 14 to 36 metres with larger models in the pipeline.
APS will officially complete the Isoli deal today at Vertikal Days. Promax will continue to support its existing Isoli customers if required, but going forward, APS is responsible for all sales, service and warranty for Isoli vehicle mounts in the UK.

Promax Managing Director Shaun Day said: “We have decided to focus on our core business of tracked boom lifts and specialist rail platforms. We know APS is well positioned to provide service and support through its sister divisions within the IAPS Group, so Isoli owners will be looked after. Of course, we are still happy to help any of our truck mount customers who would prefer to continue with us in future, but we will not actively promote the products.”

Tindale added: “Isoli is firmly established now across the world as a well-respected supplier of vehicle mounted platforms. We believe APS can build on the foundations established by Promax to make Isoli a recognised and successful brand in the UK as well.”
